CLEVELAND, Ohio — Thanks to 39 points from Donovan Mitchell, the Cavaliers completed the biggest Game 7 comeback in NBA history to eliminate the Orlando Magic, 106-94, on Sunday.
The Cavs trailed by as much as 18 points befor🅺e taking the lead for good late in the third quarter.
Mitchell had 17 of his 39 points in the third quarter and personally outscored the Magic by two points in that quarter. Caris LeVert had a big game off the bench with 15 points, and Evan Mobley added 11 points, 16 rebounds and five🍎 blocks.
Mitchell had 50 points in Game 6 on Friday night, but he and the Cavs did not close ou꧅t Orlando, leading to Sunday’s Game 7.
With the win, the Cavs now advance to the second round starting on Tuesday night vs. the Boston Celtics. It’s the franchis🍸e’s first series win without LeBron James since 1993.
