How did thousands in cash end up in restrooms of Ohio town’s businesses?

MARYSVILLE, Ohio — People in a central Ohio town are trying to figure out what’s going on after thousands of dollars were f𝔉ound in the restrooms of a theater and a fast food restaurant in less than a week.

Police in Marysville that $25,000 🤪was discovered hidden April 27 in the restroom of the Avalon Theatre. Five days later, $12,000 was found in t๊he restroom of a KFC, .

“Two times in one week,” police Capt. Nate Sachs tells WBNS. “One is just weird in and of itself. But tꦗwo times in one week is definitely another level and it makes you ꦬwant to figure it out a little more.”

ꦏPolice say a worker at the theater found the money after noticing someone “acting suspiciously” the night before, WBNS reports. Both the theater worker and the KFC worker notified police after finding the money.
