CLEVELAND, Ohio — If you’re tired of less-than-sturdy paper bags, you🌌’re in luck. Giant Eagle will start offering new reusable grocery bags for customers next Monday that🧜 are made of fabric, and free.
The change is c꧋oming because of feedback from customers, said Giant Eagle spokesperson Jannah Jablonowski. She said shoppers were looking for a sturdier option to hold heavier items, like a gallon oꦇf milk.
Jablonowski said these new fabric bags will be available alongside the paper bags at no cost to customers. Giant Eagle removed the cost for papers bags last fall. The chain tran♑sitioned away from single-use plastic bags in Cuyahoga County back in 2019.
The new bags can be washed and reused, and Giant Eag𝓰le is encouraging customers to use them just like th🔯eir traditional reusable bags, by saving them and bringing them back for each shopping trip.
There are 2ꦯ4 Cuyahoga County Giant Eagle and Market District locations. Giant Eagle has more than 470 stores throughout western Pen🌌nsylvania, Ohio, northern West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana.
